This is a plain-language terms sheet, not a substitute for legal advice. It exists to make sure everyone requesting access understands what KuForAOE is, where its data comes from, and what that means for them before they use it.
1. Unofficial, fan-made project
KuForAOE is an independent, fan-made companion tool for Age of Empires IV. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Xbox Game Studios, World's Edge, Relic Entertainment, or the Age of Empires franchise. All Age of Empires trademarks, game content, and assets belong to their respective owners. KuForAOE does not redistribute official game art, audio, or footage — everything shown is data and analysis derived from match statistics.
2. Where match data comes from, and what that means for you
KuForAOE's match/replay statistics are sourced using community-developed methods for reading publicly-generated match data, in the same spirit as other fan projects in the Age of Empires community. There is no official, published data API for this game — so, like those other community tools, this pipeline is not officially licensed or guaranteed by Microsoft or World's Edge, and it depends on mechanisms that are outside our control.
Practically, this means:
- The service can be interrupted, restricted, or permanently discontinued at any time, without notice, if the underlying data source becomes unavailable.
- We make no guarantee of continued access, uptime, or data freshness.
- Match history, stats, and any account features tied to game data may become stale, incomplete, or unavailable if this happens.
By using KuForAOE, you acknowledge and accept this risk. If continuity matters to you, don't treat KuForAOE as your only or permanent record of your match history.
3. No warranty, informational use only
All statistics, matchup breakdowns, strategy labels, and coaching advice are provided "as is," for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee they are accurate, complete, or up to date. Nothing in KuForAOE is professional coaching, and no outcome (in-game or otherwise) is guaranteed by using it. Use your own judgment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KuForAOE and its operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for any damages or losses — including lost game data, service interruption, or reliance on inaccurate stats — arising from your use of the service.
4. Your data
We collect the minimum needed to run the service:
- Account info: your email (or Steam ID, if you sign in with Steam) and a hashed password — we never store your password in plain text.
- Game history: match/replay statistics associated with your linked profile, used to power matchup analysis and (for eligible tiers) your personal Coaching/Study Board history.
- Notes you add: any per-game notes or stars you save are stored against your account.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is used only to operate and improve KuForAOE. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting the admin email below.
5. Invite-only access
KuForAOE is currently invite-only. Requesting access (applying for an invitation) does not guarantee approval — applications are reviewed manually, and access may be granted, delayed, or declined at the admin's discretion. An existing invitation or account may also be revoked for abuse, violation of these terms, or misuse of the service.
6. Optional membership contributions
Where a paid membership tier exists, it is a voluntary contribution toward hosting and AI-usage costs, not a purchase of guaranteed features or outcomes. Pricing, tiers, and what each unlocks may change over time.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service evolves. Continued use of KuForAOE after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
8. Contact

By checking the acknowledgement box when applying for an invitation, you confirm you've read and agree to the above — in particular §2 (data-source/continuity risk) and §3 (no warranty).
